Mentorship Program
Connecting Sikh high schoolers to Sikh college students for guidance and advice.
Join us for Udaari's free mentorship program where we help Sikh students build compelling profiles and write competitive college applications. We have mentors from Stanford, UC Berkeley, USC, Carnegie Mellon, Brown, and more universities! We are all super excited to see more Sikh students in colleges.
We have very limited spots so are looking for dedicated and serious students and families who will commit to working proactively. If you are accepted and are not putting in the required work, we will remove you from the program and offer the spot to someone else. We are currently looking to support rising sophomores, juniors and seniors.
Here’s a little bit more about what to expect! If you have any questions, please reach out to manat@udaari.me.
For Rising High School Seniors:
-
You will be paired with a mentor whom you will meet twice-a-month between now and December
-
Your mentor will help you: 1) build your college list, 2) guide you on essays, and 3) advise on broader application tips and logistics
-
We expect students to fill out check-in forms to report their progress + make sure they are staying on track
For Rising Sophomores and Juniors:
-
You will be paired with a mentor whom you will meet once-a-month
-
Your mentor will help you build your applicant profile, including advising you on activities to participate in, classes to take, how to spend your summers
-
To ensure the monthly meetings are productive, we expect students to submit a quick form reporting the progress they made on their month’s to-dos
This program is made possible by the generous donations of The Sikh Foundation.
YOU CAN APPLY YOURSELF OR NOMINATE SOMEONE. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO WRITE A THOROUGH APPLICATION AS THIS IS A COMPETITIVE PROCESS AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR STAND-OUT APPLICANTS.
